Some journeys come full circle.

For Ashish Katyayan, CEO of KATBOTZ and a Bishop Cotton School alumnus, returning to his alma mater in Shimla was an opportunity to reconnect with a place that shaped his early years and share the experiences that shaped his career.

The conversation with students brought together AI, technology, business, careers, and the future of work. Ashish spoke candidly about his own journey, from the family business in Kullu and Manali to IBM, Deloitte and KPMG, and eventually building KATBOTZ.

One message stood out: careers rarely happen exactly as planned. Ashish’s own journey reflected that idea, with each experience, transition, challenge, and opportunity opening the door to something new. He encouraged students to stay curious, understand their strengths, build meaningful relationships, and keep learning as their paths evolve.

AI was another important part of the discussion. As students increasingly explore AI in their own learning, Ashish shared how businesses are using AI for data, automation, decision-making, and complex problem-solving. The future will bring together human experience and machine intelligence, creating new ways to work, learn, and innovate.

The students brought thoughtful questions on careers, education, business, technology, and personal growth, making the session an open exchange of ideas and experiences.

At KATBOTZ, we want to carry that conversation forward. Through our Internship Program and Business & Technology Club, we are creating opportunities for students to experience consulting, AI, technology, analytics, and real-world business challenges.

For Ashish, the experience carried a personal meaning. Returning to Bishop Cotton School and sharing his journey with the next generation created a connection between where the journey began and the possibilities that lie ahead.
